Report: Examining digital free speech and social media

Each year, more than half a million comments are deleted from the Facebook pages of five Danish news media. It is not possible to establish what and how much is being deleted by Facebook, the news media, and the Facebook users. At the same time, thousands of illegal and racist comments are left on the pages. Both can keep people from participating in the public debate and constitute a democratic challenge. This is why we have analysed what and how much is being deleted.
